Pasadena's Jones surpasses 1,000

Arlington Baptist senior scores 38 against Lutheran

Arlington Baptist's Jason Jones eclipsed the 1,000-point barrier in style Tuesday night.

The senior from Pasadena scored a career-high 38 points in a 68-42 victory over Baltimore Lutheran School to bring his career points total to 1,004.

The victory pushed the Eagles' record to 17-6 overall and 8-2 in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association.

Jones has been scouted in baseball by Clemson, Indiana, Virginia, Liberty and North Carolina-Greensboro.
