Salisbury State tops Marymount

Forward Victor Jackson scored a game-high 18 points as Salisbury State defeated Marymount, 87-67, last night for its sixth straight win in a Capital Athletic Conference game in Salisbury.

The Sea Gulls (14-6, 9-2) shot 56 percent in the first half for a 53-41 lead at halftime. Salisbury State's lead reached 67-47 with 11: 09 left.

Doug King had 14 points and 10 assists for Salisbury.

Johns Hopkins 73, Swarthmore 49: Four players scored in double figures as the Blue Jays (15-6, 7-3) blitzed the Garnet Tide (3-18, 2-8) in a Centennial Conference game. Nino Vanin, Steve Adams and Matt Eisley had 12 points apiece for Hopkins.

Hopkins never trailed, scoring 15 of the game's first 23 points, including five three-pointers.

The Blue Jays led by as much as 26 in the second half.

Dickinson 99, Western Maryland 74: Matt Shaffer hit eight of his first nine shots and finished with a career-high 33 points and nine rebounds as the visiting Red Devils (11-10, 7-3) cruised to a Centennial Conference win over the Green Terror (3-17, 1-9). Freshman guard Greg Hill led Western Maryland with 18 points.

Ursinus 78, Washington College 62: Alan Karafin led all scorers with 19 points as the host Bears (15-6, 7-3) downed the Shoremen (9-12, 5-5) in the Centennial Conference. Earl Piner's 17 points led Washington College.
