Victor Thillet

Old Mill, indoor track

For the second straight season, Thillet swept all three distance events at the Anne Arundel County championships, giving him eight county indoor titles in three seasons. The 5-foot-5, 120-pound All-Metro senior, a state 1,600-meter champ last season and state 3,200-meter champ his sophomore year, won the 800 meters in 2: 03.9, the 1,600 meters in 4: 33.7 and the 3,200 meters in 10: 15.6 on Friday. He is a two-time National Guard Meet champion in the 1,500 meters, and started at midfield for the Old Mill soccer team.

Kristin Jasper

John Carroll, girls basketball

The junior guard/forward helped the fifth-ranked Patriots overcome three ranked opponents last week. Jasper scored 29 points in a 55-35 win against No. 13 Roland Park on Feb. 1, and 22 in a 50-43 victory over No. 12 Mercy the next day. She had 14-point efforts in wins against the Institute of Notre Dame on Friday and No. 11 Spalding on Sunday. During the four-game stretch, Jasper averaged four rebounds, four steals and two assists. Her play has helped John Carroll to a 16-4 mark.
