A 29-year-old Westminster woman was held in lieu of $25,000 bail at the Carroll County Detention Center yesterday after she was arrested on charges of sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy.

The woman is not being named to protect the privacy of the juvenile, who now lives in Baltimore County.

According to court documents, the boy sometimes stayed at the woman's home.

Investigators from the Carroll County Child Abuse Sexual Assault (CASA) unit said the boy was abused at various times last year between January and October. The woman allegedly had an unlicensed teen-age girl drive her around the Taneytown area while she and the boy were in the back seat of the vehicle.

The woman is charged on counts of child abuse and third- and fourth-degree sex offenses.
