Wearing your heart on your pajamas

Valentine's Day is fast approaching. Don't be caught giftless. Some lingerie ideas that don't sacrifice style for comfort:

For her: Sweet and sexy Josie lingerie by Josie Natori. Try the white Spandex camisole and thong embroidered with red hearts (right, $57) or the rose-strewn camisole and capri pajama set ($58). Available at Nordstrom.

For him: Make him like Valentine's Day this year with a pair of cotton heart-print pajama pants from Old Navy (left). For $16.50, you can buy a pair for yourself, too.

Coach class

Something has happened to Coach.

Somewhere along the line, the maker of fine, albeit traditional, handbags and leather goods went from looking stodgy to downright au courant. Crafted of straw and canvas in addition to the usual leather, printed with zebra stripes and paisley swirls and available in colors like orange and aqua, the handbags Coach is showing for spring are irresistible.

For starters, check out the straw East/West zebra tote ($168, above) as well as the aqua and yellow paisley styles (below: $198 tote, $228 buckled).

Now, if only the weather would cooperate.

Valentine gifts via e-commerce

Shopping for your Valentine can be such a drag. Florists are busy, cosmetics counters are packed, and chocolate shops pose too great a temptation to the buyer.

Here's an idea: shop on the Internet.

Bluefly.com, an e-commerce company, will not only ship items for a flat $3.95, but their products are also 25 to 75 percent off retail prices, they say.

Our picks:

* Diamond bracelet by Raico, $495

* Christopher Fischer cashmere scarf, $69.95

* Lilly black teddy and thong set, $39.95

* Christian Dior's Poison, $49.95, or Yves Saint Laurent's Opium, $40.
