Tutors Needed

Area schools and literacy programs seek volunteers to help children and adults improve reading skills. Among them:

Education-Based Latino Outreach (EBLO), 1001 S. Potomac St., Baltimore, is looking for bilingual tutors to assist Latino children in reading, writing and math Saturday mornings and for a soon-to-begin after-school program. Contact: Jose Ruiz, 410-563-3160.

Charles H. Hickey Jr. School, 2400 Cub Hill Road, is seeking reading, math and music tutors for youths ages 13 to 17 from 8: 30 a.m. to 3: 15 p.m. school days and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays. Contact: Boyce Mosley, 410-668- 3300, Ext. 3258.
