Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Western District

Drug arrest: Officers Scott Hurley and Tim Stach were working undercover about 10: 15 a.m. yesterday in the 1900 block of W. Baltimore St. and saw a man apparently selling narcotics to several other men. The officers arrested Javon Brewer, 18, of the first block of N. Carey St. and charged him with possession with intent to distribute heroin and simple possession of heroin. Under the hood of a car parked nearby, the officers recovered 475 capsules of heroin with a street value of $9,500. Brewer was processed at Central Booking and Intake Center, pending a bail hearing.

Southeastern District

Shooting: A gunman shot a man, 30, in the left shoulder about 10: 30 a.m. yesterday in the first block of N. Duncan St. The victim was carrying narcotics when he was admitted to Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Southwestern District

Shooting: A man, 25, was leaving his car in the 600 block of Yale Ave. about 3 a.m. yesterday when an unknown assailant fired a shot that grazed him. Thinking the wound was not serious, he drove home and went to bed. He drove to Mercy Medical Center for treatment about 1 p.m. because he was in severe pain.

Stolen car: A white four-door 1993 Toyota 4Runner with tags 877814M was stolen Wednesday in the 2500 block of W. Baltimore St.

Stolen vehicle: A black 1995 Jeep Cherokee with tags 195046M was stolen Wednesday in the 5100 block of Baltimore National Pike.

Theft: Someone entered a room at Executive Centre in the 3700 block of Koppers St. yesterday and stole computer equipment valued at nearly $700.

Northeastern District

Stolen vehicle: A 2000 Jeep Cherokee with no tags was stolen overnight Tuesday from Al Packer Ford in the 3000 block of Hamilton Ave.

Burglary: Property valued at nearly $200 was stolen Tuesday from a house in the 1500 block of Pentridge Road.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Theft from vehicle: The tailgate, valued at $900, was stolen from a 1997 Toyota Tacoma truck while the vehicle was parked Saturday at Golden Ring Mall in the 6400 block of Rossville Blvd. The theft was reported yesterday.

North Point Precinct

Vandalism: Someone caused at least $500 damage breaking into a camper trailer parked in the first block of Dunhaven Place overnight Tuesday. No property appeared to be missing.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: A storage shed next to Parkville Senior High School in the 2600 block of Putty Hill Ave. was broken into between Jan. 24 and Wednesday. Nothing was reported stolen. The shed is used to store athletic equipment.
