Anne Arundel County police sought help from the public yesterday in solving the homicide of a 27-year-old man who was found dead Monday night in a Maryland City apartment.

The only information that police would divulge about the victim or the killing was that he was black and that the state medical examiner's office had ruled his death a homicide.

The man's name was being withheld pending notification of relatives, police said.

The victim moved into the apartment in the 200 block of Red Clay Road about two months ago, living with another person who reported finding the body about 7 p.m., police said.

The victim was not the renter, and his former address was uncertain, according to authorities.

Investigators asked that anyone who heard or saw anything unusual in the area call detectives at 410-222-3456.
