Beauty and the Beast'

Tie your napkin around your neck, and be their guest at F. Scott Black's Young Peoples Players' production of "Beauty and the Beast" at their dinner theater in Towson, Saturday until May 7. Watch the fairy tale about the repulsive Beast, beautiful Belle and the wicked spell that finally gets broken, turning the Beast into a handsome prince. Shows run every Saturday and select Sundays and are preceded by lunch. Theater is handicapped accessible.

"Beauty and the Beast" runs through May 7, on Saturdays and select Sundays -- Feb. 20, March 26, April 16, May 7. Saturday show times are noon; lunch at 11 a.m. Sunday show times are 11: 30 a.m.; lunch at 10: 30 a.m. Takes place at F. Scott Black's Towson Dinner Theatre, 100 E. Chesapeake Ave., Towson. $11. Horse around at Laurel

Kids can learn all about horses on a morning bus tour of the Laurel Park stable and enjoy an afternoon of family entertainment Sunday at Laurel's "Activity Day." The morning tour includes a visit with a thoroughbred trainer and a glimpse into the horses' morning workout. Afternoon entertainment includes Kinderman, face painting and other activities. Events are geared toward ages 2 to 12.

Events are Sunday at Laurel Park, Route 198 and Racetrack Road in Laurel. Morning bus tour runs 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Afternoon entertainment runs 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Morning tour is free; reservations required. Afternoon activities open to everyone.
