Students are finalists in Intel talent search

January 26, 2000

Three Montgomery County high school seniors were named finalists Monday in the Intel Science Talent Search, a competition of America's top science students.

Two of the finalists are from Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring -- Elizabeth Michal Epstein and Jonathan Simon -- and the third finalist is Joshua Michael Levy, who attends Quince Orchard High School in Gaithersburg.

The 40 national finalists were picked from 300 semifinalists, including 18 in Maryland. The top 10 winners will be announced March 13 in Washington, with a four-year, $100,000 scholarship as the grand prize.
