Pedestrian dies after being hit by truck

An unidentified man died last night after being struck by a vehicle near the corner of Washington Boulevard and Hannah Avenue in Halethorpe, police said.

The man, approximately 35 to 40 years old, was struck by a Dodge pickup truck about 8: 20 p.m., according to Baltimore County police. He was taken to St. Agnes HealthCare, where he died a short time later.

Police said a preliminary investigation showed that the man was walking in the center of the intersection when he was hit. The identity of the truck's driver was not released last night.
