WalkAmerica 2000 Dinner

MARYLAND SCENE

January 23, 2000|By Sloane Brown

It was an evening of gratitude and good will for Harford County March of Dimes WalkAmerica sponsors. These emotions were perhaps best expressed by the youngest honoree at the Harford County WalkAmerica 2000 Executive Dinner -- 5-year-old Benjamin Mayforth, Harford County's March of Dimes youth ambassador. He cheerfully greeted many of the other 91 guests, spreading smiles as he skipped from table to table.

Others attending the Maryland Golf and Country Club dinner included: Debbie Anderson, event chair; Bill Ramsey, Beth Muller-Hinder and Kim Mayforth, event committee members; Jim Harkins, Harford County executive and honorary event chair; Denise Griffin, Harford County March of Dimes community director; Bob Bloom, WXCY-FM Radio general manager; Dr. Vicki Lucas, vice president of women's services, MedStar Health; Craig Ward, vice president of Frederick Ward Associates; Buzzy Hess, owner of Hess Enterprises; and Bill Harloe, owner of Harford County Burger Kings.
