Professional Builder names D. R Horton Builder of the Year

Professional Builder magazine named D. R. Horton Builder of the Year in its December 1999 issue.

The Arlington, Texas-based builder, which has a presence in Baltimore, Carroll and Howard counties, is the first corporate builder to win this award.

"Keeping in line with the corporation's growth strategies, we will continue to take an aggressive approach toward expanding our Maryland operations into new markets," said John M. Flaherty, vice president of D.R. Horton's Maryland division.
