Police arrest man charged in killing

Police have arrested a man charged in warrants with killing a man and attempting to kill the man's female companion during a burglary Saturday at the victims' Southwest Baltimore home.

Alford Bonaparte, 30, of the 3000 block of Elizabeth Ave. in Lakeland was arrested at home Wednesday, Lt. Ben Lieu of the homicide squad said. Bonaparte is charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder, theft and burglary and is being held without bail, Lieu said.

Ronald J. Alexander, 52, was fatally shot at his home in the 2200 block of Ramsay St. and Jennifer Dalton, 23, was shot in the face, Lieu said. Dalton remains hospitalized.
