Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Central District

Burglary: A 35 mm camera and lenses, all valued at $5,000, were stolen overnight Tuesday from the law office of Jerome Blum in the first block of E. Lexington St.

Northeastern District

Carjacking: A Yellow Transport driver was in the 5600 block of Hillen Road about 6 p.m. Tuesday when three men, one with a handgun, forced him out of the 1997 Ford van and drove off. Minutes later, police were pursuing the vehicle in Clifton Park when three men got out and ran.

Southern District

Robbery: A man with a knife robbed the Quality Inn Motel in the 1700 block of Russell St. of $200 about 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Southwestern District

Assault: A man fired a handgun at a woman, 21, during an argument in a house in the 1000 block of Wicklow Road about 10 p.m. Monday. She was not wounded.

Burglary: Video games valued at nearly $300 were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 800 block of Nottingham Road.

Northern District

Stolen car: A red four-door 1990 Dodge Spirit with tags XGW 650 was stolen Tuesday in the 6100 block of Blackburn Lane.

Robbery: A gunman robbed a man, 32, of more than $200 about 6: 20 p.m. Tuesday in the 5200 block of York Road.

Baltimore County

Towson Precinct

Robbery: A woman, 43, was seated in the back of a parked cab at Baltimore and Ware avenues about 2 p.m. Tuesday when a man opened the rear door, grabbed her purse and cut her on the right ear and right hand with a box cutter when she resisted. The man escaped with cash and property, all valued at more than $500. The woman was not seriously injured.

North Point Precinct

Robbery/arrests: A man and woman, implying one was armed with a handgun, took about $200 from the Subway sandwich shop in the 1400 block of Merritt Blvd. about 2: 15 p.m. Tuesday. Minutes later, two people were arrested at an undisclosed location. Eugene Ostrander, 21, and Cathy Bain, 29, both of the 1600 block of Four Georges Court, were charged with armed robbery and related charges. They were being held at the county Detention Center -- Ostrander in lieu of $100,000 bond and Bain in lieu of $75,000 bond.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: A bank deposit bag containing more than $600 was stolen early Tuesday from an office safe at Denny's restaurant in the 1900 block of E. Joppa Road. Police found no signs of forced entry.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: An undisclosed sum of money was stolen from a safe at E Z Pickins, a junkyard in the 200 block of Earls Road, Saturday night or early Sunday.

Burglary: Stereo equipment and a videocassette recorder were stolen Monday from an apartment in the 9800 block of Langs Road.
