An early spring

Step out of winter and into spring at Longwood Gardens' "Flora 2000" and "Welcome Spring" displays, Saturday through Feb. 27 and April 7, respectively. "Flora 2000," a product of the American Society of Botanical Artists, is composed of flowers, tropical blossoms and trees -- all indoors. The exhibit features 60 works by artists from Canada, Brazil, New Zealand, England and the United States. "Welcome Spring" features indoor gardens, lawns, exotic plants, flowers and more. Related daily programs include gardening demonstrations, child "Fun Days," concerts and a botanical art exhibit.

"Welcome Spring" runs Saturday through April 7; "Flora 2000" runs Saturday through Feb. 27, both 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily at Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, Pa. $12 ($8 Tuesdays); $6 ages 16-20; $2 ages 6-15; children under 6 free. Call 800-737-5500.

'Spa Feast'

Refresh yourself at a half-day of spa samplings Saturday in Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Demonstrations of therapeutic massage, facials, aromatherapy, acupressure and other alternative health services will be offered. Health seminars and classes will also be held, and healthy food will be available.
