Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southern District

Robbery: A gunman forced an employee into a rear office at Rent-A-Center in the 1200 block of W. Pratt St. about 9 p.m. Monday and stole an undisclosed sum of money from a safe.

Northwestern District

Theft from vehicle: Tools and a refrigerator gauge, all valued at more than $1,200, were stolen Monday from a 1989 Ford van parked in the 6300 block of Greenspring Ave.

Southeastern District

Burglary: Thirteen nail guns, valued at more than $5,000, were stolen Sunday from Louis Grasmick Lumber Co. in the 6700 block of Quad Ave.

Robbery/shooting: Three men, one with a handgun, stopped three other men Sunday night in the 2400 block of Fleet St. and robbed one of them of $15 and shot another in the right buttock and left side. The wounded man was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital. His condition was not available.

Northern District

Theft: A diamond ring, a laptop computer, a radio and a purse containing cash and personal property, all valued at nearly $16,000, were stolen Sunday from a 1998 Toyota parked in the 5600 block of Smith Ave.

Baltimore County

Parkville Precinct

Arrest: A woman was charged Sunday in the armed robbery and carjacking Jan. 11 of a woman minutes after the victim withdrew money from an automated teller machine at Harford Road and Taylor Avenue. After Officer Timothy Kennedy stopped the suspect near the robbery scene about midnight Sunday, he took her to the precinct, where she consented to have her photo taken. The photo and those of other women were shown to the victim, who identified the suspect as the woman who robbed her, struck her several times with a handgun and forced her to drive to Erdman Avenue in Northeast Baltimore. The victim suffered a concussion, police said. Rochelle Blake, 28, of the 5200 block of Erdman Ave. was charged with armed robbery, kidnapping and assault. She was being held at the county Detention Center on $750,000 bond.

White Marsh Precinct

Robbery: A woman, 79, was placing groceries into her car in the 8600 block of Philadelphia Road about 7 p.m. Monday when a man shoved her aside and stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $80.

Burglary: Tools valued at $5,000 were stolen Monday from a house in the 12100 block of Jerusalem Road in Kingsville.

North Point Precinct

Theft: Cable valued at nearly $2,200 was stolen from Design Consolidated Consultants in the 4100 block of North Point Road between Friday and Monday.

For the record

Victim identified: Ronald James Alexander, 52, of the 2200 block of Ramsay St. was identified yesterday as the man found shot to death in the bedroom of his home Saturday night. No arrest had been made, and a motive was unknown, police said.
