Mount men hold off Robert Morris, 74-69

Brooks' 22 points lead Coppin women past UMES

Greg Harris and Terrence Wilson scored 15 points each as Mount St. Mary's defeated Robert Morris, 74-69, last night in a Northeast Conference game in Emmitsburg.

Harris also totaled five assists, tying the school career record of 471, for the Mount (3-10, 2-2).

Robert Morris (7-6, 4-1) has lost 13 straight to Mount St. Mary's.


Coppin State 73, UMES 61: Kiesha Brooks had 22 points and 15 rebounds to lead the host Eagles in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference game.

Brooks has scored 74 points in the past three games and moved up to 11th in the country in women's Division I scoring.

The Eagles (8-9, 6-2) improved to 5-3 under interim coach Derek Brown.

Nicole Council led UMES (2-13, 1-7) with 25 points.

Wesley 58, Salisbury State 55: Four players scored in double figures, led by Nikki Pauls' 18 points, as the host Wolverines (6-5) ended a seven-game losing streak to the Sea Gulls (8-6). Lisa Neylan scord 25 for Salisbury.

Catholic 64, Western Maryland 60: Meg Hagarty made two free throws with 12 seconds left to clinch the win for the host Cardinals (7-7). Jen Piccolomini's 14 points led the Green Terror (5-7).

Widener 89, Washington College 64: Behind Lauren Potchak's 22 points, the host Pioneers (8-6) defeated the Shorewomen (6-7) in a nonconference game in Chester, Pa.

Daniele Rados led Washington College with 21 points.
