Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Central District

Burglary: Three hair dryers, a television and a microwave oven, all valued at more than $2,000, were stolen yesterday from Etta's Beauty Salon in the 200 block of W. Saratoga St.

Assault: A male, 18, struck a woman, 28, on the left arm with a broomstick during an argument in the 500 block of Dolphin St. yesterday, breaking her arm. The male, who is known by the victim, fled. She was treated at University of Maryland Medical Center.

Northwestern District

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a man, 29, of more than $50 about 1 p.m. Saturday in the 3500 block of Oakmont Ave.

Church burglary/arrest: Police responded to a burglar alarm about 10 a.m. Saturday at Zion Tabernacle Apostolic Church in the 3700 block of Park Heights Ave. They entered the building and arrested a man who was accused of breaking in through the front door and kicking in drywall to enter a room. Lindley Wade, 42, of the 3800 block of Cottage Ave. was charged with burglary.

Burglary: A videocassette recorder, laptop computer and several compact discs, all valued at more than $4,000, were stolen Friday from a house in the 3000 block of Spaulding Ave.

Eastern District

Robbery: Five teen-age males, one with a handgun, robbed a man, 47, of a watch and gold bracelet Saturday in the 1800 block of N. Durham St. The property was valued at $200.

Baltimore County

Essex Precinct

Attempted murder/arrests: Two teen-age girls armed with razor blades attacked a male, 17, about 6: 30 p.m. Friday in the 9800 block of Charbank Lane, slashing his mouth, neck and face. The victim was treated at Franklin Square Hospital Center. Shortly afterward, Latrina Harvey, 17, of the 800 block of Maple Crest Drive, and Mia S. Henson, 15, of the 200 block of Shadbark Road, were arrested near the scene of the attack. Both were charged as adults with attempted murder and are being held at the county Detention Center in Towson. Harvey was being held in lieu of $100,000 bond and Henson was being held without bail.

Towson Precinct

Attempted murder/arrest: : A man was stabbed in the stomach during an argument with another man about 11: 30 p.m. Friday at their apartment in the 7700 block of Hillendale Road. David Charles Augustine, 51, was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment and was expected to survive. Kenneth Whitehurst, 52, was charged with attempted murder and was being held in lieu of $255,000 bond at the county Detention Center.

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: Two televisions, computer equipment and a microwave oven were stolen Thursday night or Friday morning from Woodmoor Elementary School in the 3200 block of Elba Drive. Windows in two classroom doors were shattered.

School burglary/arrests: Two teen-age boys were arrested late Saturday night outside Hebbville Elementary School in the 3300 block of Washington Ave. and charged as juveniles with breaking into the school through a door and stealing a microwave oven. The oven was recovered.

Wilkens Precinct

Burglary: Two Ruger .22-caliber rifles were stolen Saturday from a house in the 5600 block of Carville Ave.

For the record

Victim identified: John Blanton, 45, of the 1300 block of Pentwood Road in Northwood, Northeast Baltimore, was identified yesterday as the man fatally stabbed in the 1200 block of N. Milton Ave. about 10 p.m. Saturday. No arrest had been made, and police knew of no motive.
