Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Eastern District

Shooting: A man, 27, was in the 1800 block of N. Montford Ave. about 6: 35 p.m. Tuesday when an unknown assailant shot him in the left forearm. He was admitted in good condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Robbery/arrest: A man with a knife robbed another man, 36, of $20 in the 1900 block of Greenmount Ave. about 4: 15 p.m. Tuesday, then ran into a nearby house. Police went to the house and arrested a man, 25, who was identified by the victim and charged with armed robbery and possession of a deadly weapon.

Eastern District

Robbery: A gunman robbed a man, 52, of a leather jacket and sweater, all valued at nearly $700, about 7: 15 p.m. Tuesday in the 1600 block of Aisquith St.

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a woman, 29, of property valued at $100 about 11 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of E. North Ave.

Northern District

Burglary: Someone used a key to enter a house in the 3900 block of Beech Ave. on Jan. 6 and stole $500. The burglary was reported Tuesday.

Southern District

Theft: A woman was standing in a checkout line at Food King supermarket in the 3400 block of Annapolis Road when someone standing behind her removed a credit card from her purse Tuesday. The thief used the card to purchase groceries valued at more than $44.

Stolen car: A red 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier with tags GAV 477, the property of Enterprise Leasing, was stolen Tuesday in the 500 block of Arsan Ave.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Robbery: Two 13-year-old boys were at Link Avenue and Ridgely's Choice Drive about 5: 40 p.m. Tuesday when three older boys, one with what appeared to be a toy handgun, robbed them of $2, a pair of eyeglasses and a videotape.

Robbery: A man who pointed a knife at a security officer stole stereo equipment valued at $500 from the Target store in the 5200 block of Campbell Blvd. about 1 p.m. Tuesday. Police recognized his description and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Essex Precinct

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, forced their way into a house in the 500 block of Carrollwood Road about 4: 20 p.m. Tuesday and robbed the occupants -- two men and a woman, all in their 20s -- of jewelry valued at more than $2,000. The robbers forced the occupants into a bedroom, bound their hands and legs with tape and fled. The victims freed themselves and called police.

Cockeysville Precinct

Robbery: A boy, 9, was at Lord Byron and Duke of York lanes about 4 p.m. Tuesday on his way to a store to buy comic books when an older male robbed him of his wallet containing $60.
