Choral tribute to King

On Sunday, the Choral Arts Society of Washington will present its 12th annual choral tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the Kennedy Center. Featured acts include the Children's Chorus of Washington, The BET (Black Entertainment Television) Urban Nation Hip Hop Choir and the Church of God in Christ Combined Choirs. There also will be a free lecture before the concert, featuring civil rights activist, singer and storyteller Jack Landron.

The lecture begins at 6:15 p.m., the concert at 7:30 p.m. The Kennedy Center is off Virginia and New Hampshire avenues Northwest, Washington. All tickets are $10. Call 202-467-4600.

Film festival in Frederick

The Weinberg Center for the Arts in Frederick will show "The Manchurian Candidate" tomorrow and "The Maltese Falcon" and "Casablanca" Saturday as part of its weekend film festival series. A highlight of the festival comes tomorrow, when Dr. Eric Olson, a Frederick psychologist, will introduce "The Manchurian Candidate." Olson is the son of the late Dr. Frank Olson, whose mysterious death in 1953 carries a number of similarities to incidents in the Cold War film.
