Maple Crest residents invited to meeting on water extension

Carroll County commissioners will hold a meeting for residents of Maple Crest at 7 p.m. Monday in the public hearing room at the County Office Building.

Staff from the county and city governments will address questions or concerns residents may have on the possibility of extending public water from Westminster to Maple Crest.

Police

Westminster: An employee of the city of Westminster told police Dec. 27 that someone damaged a tree and a vending machine at the city playground. Loss is estimated at $400 for the tree and $5,000 for the vending machine.

Westminster: A resident of Kilkenny Drive told police Dec. 28 that someone took his cell phone and carrying case from Tully's in Cranberry Mall. Loss is placed at $212.

Westminster: A resident of Sullivan Avenue told police Dec. 29 that someone took a bicycle from his home. Loss is estimated at $125.

Fires

Westminster: Firefighters from Westminster, Reese, Pleasant Valley and Manchester responded at 12: 08 p.m. Saturday to an apartment fire in the 100 block of Timber Ridge Drive. Units were out 30 minutes.

Westminster: Firefighters responded at 9: 39 a.m. Saturday to a fire alarm in the 700 block of Johahn Drive. Units were out 16 minutes.
