A REMINDER: It's budget time. At least 75 property owners are needed to attend the Crofton Civic Association's general membership meeting at 7: 30 p.m. Monday at Crofton Elementary School.

The association board will present its fiscal 2001 budget proposal.

This year's budget has a new format prescribed by the county. During the meeting, Crofton residents will have the opportunity to ask questions, present their concerns about the fiscal year and vote on the budget.

To comply with association bylaws, a quorum of at least 75 property owners must attend to vote on budget increases, which this year's budget includes.

Residents with questions about the budget process or the meeting should call Town Hall at 410-721-2301.

If schools are closed because of inclement weather, the meeting will be moved to the Crofton Country Club.

Musicians honored

Six talented musicians from Arundel High School in Gambrills have been chosen for this year's All-State Orchestra and Band.

Students in this prestigious program are Lindsey Elgie, Heather Hanson, Mike Hollies, Anne Jonas, Nathan Robb and Greg Tsalikis.

In another exciting event, Arundel musicians Heather Hanson, Liz Palmieri, Nathan Robb, Dan Signorini and Greg Tsalikis have been chosen to take part in a Baltimore Symphony Orchestra program. It's a wonderful opportunity for youths to create music with a professional symphony orchestra.

Update on new school

Plans are being made for the School of the Incarnation, an interparish Roman Catholic elementary school to serve West County.

The first kindergarten class is scheduled to open in the fall in temporary quarters at Our Lady of the Fields church in Millersville. A school building will be constructed on Waugh Chapel Road, near the Four Seasons community.

Interested parents are invited to attend an information night at 7: 30 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of the Fields. A second session is set for 7: 30 p.m. Jan. 19 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Edgewater.

Parents will hear about the school's mission, the role of the family, the educational programs and the admissions process.

For more information, or for applications for the fall kindergarten class, call the office at Our Lady of the Fields, 410-923-3133.

Seton anniversary

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Crofton will celebrate its 25th anniversary this year. A core committee is being formed to prepare the festivities recognizing this milestone.

The 25th Anniversary Committee will hold its first meeting at 7: 30 p.m. tomorrow at the Parish Center.
