Stephen Woods had a game-high 27 points as Southern Methodist defeated Navy, 87-78, last night in a non-conference men's basketball in Dallas.
Woods made six-of-seven three-pointers and was one of four Mustangs (11-1) to score in double figures.
Sitapha Savane led Navy (5-4) with 26 points and 13 rebounds.
SMU led 41-40 at halftime but extended the lead by making four of seven three-pointers and converting 12-of-18 free throws in the second half.
