New positions

WBAL-TV appoints Wertleib general sales manager

WBAL-TV, the local NBC affiliate, appointed Jordon Wertleib general sales manager. A graduate of the University of Michigan, he had been the local sales manager for a Hearst-Argyle sister station, WCVB-TV in Boston, and is a member of the board of the New England Electronic Media Associations.

Hinson is vice president of SOTAS global marketing

SOTAS Inc. has appointed Wayne Hinson vice president of global marketing and communications. Before he joined the Gaithersburg-based telecommunications equipment manufacturer, Hinson was president and CEO of Metrobook Computer Corp.

A graduate of the University of South Florida, he has completed special executive programs at Duke University, the University of Chicago, Northwestern University and the University of Michigan.

Sheraton names Barnes revenue management chief

Sheraton Inner Harbor Hotel named Gina M. Barnes as director of revenue management. With responsibility for maximizing revenue opportunities, she oversees the hotel's reservations department and forecasts occupancy and daily revenue rates. A graduate of James Madison University, she is a resident of Westminster.

Horich Parks Advertising adds copywriter Dwin

Horich Parks Advertising, based in Hunt Valley, named Bradley Dwin to its staff as a copywriter. Formerly a video editor with Flite Three Recording of Baltimore, the University of Maryland, College Park graduate is a board member of the Internation- al Television Association's Maryland chapter.

Banking and finance

Kelly, Halliday to manage Citizens National branches

Citizens National Bank appointed Jeanne Kelly and William Halliday as branch managers for the Laurel-based financial institution.

Kelly is assigned to a new branch in the Laurel Shopping Center. A graduate of the Maryland Bankers School, the Baltimore County resident is active in the Baltimore/Washington Chamber of Commerce and the Lions Club. Halliday, an Annapolis resident, attended the University of Wisconsin and oversees the bank's Pointer Ridge branch.

Graham, Murrell join Ober, Kaler, Grimes

Ober, Kaler, Grimes & Shriver said John S. Graham III joined as a shareholder and Vicente Murrell as an associate. Both will practice in the Baltimore-based regional law firm's business department.

Graham, a former partner with Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, specializes in energy and telecommunications matters. A graduate of Yale Law School, the Severna Park resident is active with the World Trade Center Institute and the B&O Railroad Museum.

Murrell, a law graduate of Boston College, formerly was with Thacher, Proffitt & Wood. He is in the business department's financial institutions/regulatory group.

Professional

Spiegel, Kelbaugh are VPs at Greenman-Pedersen

Greenman-Pedersen, an engineering and construction inspection firm based in Laurel, appointed John A. Spiegel and Linda A. Kelbaugh as vice presidents and unit directors. They will be based in the firm's Laurel offices.

Spiegel directs the land development services division, with responsibility for land-use planning and landscape architecture. An Annapolis resident, he is a member of several professional groups, including the American Society of Landscape Architects and the American Planning Association.

Kelbaugh, formerly president of Brightwater Inc., is in charge of the firm's public engineering and environmental services department. A graduate of Towson University, she is a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers and the International Erosion Control Association.

Commercial real estate

Struever names Sommer director of marketing

Struever Bros. Eccles & Rouse named Pat Sommer as director of marketing for the Baltimore-based commercial real estate developer and broker. She formerly was director of marketing communications for HASCO International.
