Jacqueline LaJune Kolscher, a retired registered nurse, died Wednesday of a heart attack at Sinai Hospital. She was 68 and lived in Hunt Valley.

Jacqueline LaJune Kolscher, a retired registered nurse, died Wednesday of a heart attack at Sinai Hospital. She was 68 and lived in Hunt Valley.
Born Jacqueline Malone in Wichita, Kan., she moved to Baltimore after she graduated from the Philadelphia School of Nursing in 1952. She worked at the South Baltimore General Hospital, now Harbor Hospital Center, in the 1950s and resumed nursing in the 1980s at Sinai Hospital. She retired five years ago.
She played golf at the Hunt Valley Country Club and enjoyed games of contract bridge.
She married Robert Louis Kolscher, president of the Key Federal Savings Bank in Randallstown, in 1954. He died in 1990.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Grace United Methodist Church, Falls and Ridge roads.
She is survived by a son, Robert Darrell Kolscher of Manchester; a daughter, Cynthia Leigh of Hunt Valley; a brother, Maurice Malone of Los Angeles; a sister, Sharon Shoup of Wellsville, Mo.; and five grandchildren.
Frances N. Rutter, 67, nursing administrator
Frances N. Rutter, a retired nursing facility administrator and registered nurse, died Saturday of cancer at Stella Maris Hospice. The Bolton Hill resident was 67.
Mrs. Rutter retired this year due to illness from Mariner Health of Mount Clare, where she had been an administrator since 1997. From 1974 until 1997, she was a health facilities surveyor for the Maryland Department of Health.
Born Frances Nickels in Norton, Va., she earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from the Medical College of Virginia School of Nursing in Richmond in 1956.
Mrs. Rutter, whose marriage to Norman C. Rutter ended in divorce, moved to Baltimore in 1969. She had formerly resided in Timonium and had lived in Bolton Hill for the past 10 years.
She enjoyed flower gardening.
Services were held Tuesday.
She is survived by two sons, Gary K. Rutter of Baltimore and Alan W. Rutter of Knoxville, Tenn.; a daughter, Kathryn L. Rutter of Baltimore; a brother, Byron Nickels of Norton; two sisters, Ada Blumenschein of Owings and Louise Scheilen of Mayo; and a grandson.
John Philip Maguire, 68, utility repairman, ball player
John Philip Maguire, a retired Bell Atlantic repairman, died Tuesday of heart disease at his Sykesville home. He was 68.
He retired in 1996 after 42 years with the utility company.
Born in New York, where he attended local schools, he danced a tap solo on the stage of Radio City Music Hall as a child.
In his teens, he was a shortstop for a minor league Pittsburgh Pirates organization; and he coached Little League and Babe Ruth League baseball in Sykesville for many years.
Mr. Maguire followed Maryland thoroughbred racing and had an interest in a horse he named, Half Roman, that ran at Laurel Park in the 1990s.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, the former Nancy DeCiuceis, who is a Baltimore County teacher's aide and real estate agent.
A Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. today at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 9531 Liberty Road, Randallstown.
He also is survived by a son, John Thomas Maguire II of Finksburg; a daughter, Lorie Ann Timmons of Glyndon; a sister, Dorothy Maguire of the Rockaways, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.
