Outlook: Defending Class 2A state champ Urbana, outscoring opponents 37-8 on average, brings a 24-game winning streak from Frederick County. Edmondson, winning 40-6 on average, will compete in its first state title game with an 18-game win streak.

Urbana QB Zack Mills (1,592 passing yards, 23 TDs) primarily targets sophomore WR Billy Gaines (14 TD catches) and RB Alex Herbert (14 rushing TDs). Urbana PK-P Josh Brown tied a single-season state record with his 11th field goal last weekend, and his 53-yarder was 4 yards shy of the state distance record. Leak's punts average 43 yards; he usually kicks for touchbacks. Urbana has an experience advantage in the trenches with OL-DL Stew Alcorn (6-2, 290), Kevin Mager (6-5, 260) and Ben Thompson (6-5, 225); Thompson has 16 sacks.

Edmondson QB Eddie Colbert (2,415 passing yards, 32 TDs) likes to hit RB Raytron Leak (15 TD catches) and WR-DB Justus McLeod (12). Leak and RB Darryl McCray have combined for more than 3,000 rushing yards for nearly 30 TDs. Edmondson's linemen include Jason Murphy (30 sacks), Tavon Williams (25 sacks), Charles Carrol, Reginald Jones, David Dudley, Keiron Laster, Carl Byrd and Kenneth Burley.
