Tree-lighting

Sing along with the Morningstar Baptist Church Choir, meet Santa Claus and see the 6th annual tree-lighting Saturday in Catonsville. The Greater Catonsville Chamber of Commerce will hold the ceremony for the entire family. Donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted by the Catonsville Emergency Food Ministry and goody bags will be handed out to all children in attendance. Holiday music and free refreshments will also be provided.

Catonsville's tree-lighting ceremony will be held Saturday, 6:30 p.m., in the center of Catonsville at Egges Lane and Frederick Road. Free. Call 410-719-9609.

'The Wizard of Oz'

The F. Scott Black Young People's Players will present Frank Baum's classic tale Saturday and through January. The show, starring Lauren Williams as Dorothy, Dustin Cross as the Cowardly Lion, Aaron Pross as the Scarecrow and Terry Sullivan as the Tin Man, will be preceded by a luncheon of grilled cheese or hot dogs, soda, chips and ice cream.

"The Wizard of Oz" will be performed Nov. 27, Dec. 4, 11, 12, 18 and 19 and Jan. 2, 8, 15, and 16. Saturday matinees begin at noon and Sunday matinees begin at 11:30 a.m. at F. Scott Black's Dinner Theatre, 100 East Chesapeake Ave., Towson. Lunch is one hour before show time. Tickets are $10; reservations are required. Call 410-321-6595.
