Man who allegedly assaulted teen still sought

November 20, 1999

FORT MEADE -- Increased security continued yesterday around Meade High School as police searched without success for a man accused of abducting a 16-year-old student in her car and sexually assaulting her early Thursday.

The victim told police that the man parked behind her on the school lot, approached her vehicle on foot, and implied that he had a gun to force her to move into the passenger seat. She said she was driven to an undisclosed location, where the assault occurred.

Police also were conducting surveillance around a Jessup motel where investigators believe the attacker might have been staying. They also searched a gray Chevrolet Corsica that the attacker might have driven -- a stolen car that police previously described as a silver Camaro.
