Frederick County driver, passenger die after car hits pole

A driver and passenger were killed in Frederick County yesterday when their car hit a telephone pole, flipped and caught fire at about 4 p.m., authorities said.

The car, a 1994 Acura, was southbound on Harney Road near Bullfrog Road, the Frederick County Sheriff's office reported.

The two bodies, which had not been identified last night, were taken to the state medical examiner's office in Baltimore, the sheriff's office said.
