Baltimore County police have arrested a 21-year-old Dundalk man and are seeking a 16-year-old youth in the killing of a woman in Dundalk Wednesday, saying they believe the woman was accosted and shot in a dispute over drugs.

Linda Whitfield-Ugboaja, 38, of the first block of Armitage Court was found behind the 2600 block of Yorkway with multiple gunshots wounds at 1: 15 a.m. Wednesday. She died a half-hour later. Witnesses said she was chased into the alley by two men and pleaded for her life.

Authorities yesterday charged Leif P. Barstad of the 2500 block of Yorkway with first-degree murder. He was being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center yesterday pending a bail review.

Police are searching for a second suspect, Darnell Christopher Redfern, who was charged as an adult with first-degree murder and handgun violation. His last known address was the 2500 block of Yorkway.

Charging documents said "the victim had allegedly `ripped' [Barstad] off in his drug business, with the defendant ordering Chris to `take care of her.' "

According to police records, Whitfield-Ugboaja was reported missing by her husband Oct. 29. He said he last saw her Oct. 16.
