Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Central District

Robbery: A man, 64, was shutting the rear gate of his home in the 900 block of N. Calvert St. about 4 p.m. Tuesday when another man, armed with a pair of grass clippers, robbed him of $20.

Robbery: A gunman robbed SHS Mini Mart in the 700 block of Dolphin St. of $150 and nearly $200 worth of cigarettes Tuesday afternoon.

Theft: A compact disc player and 35 compact discs, all valued at nearly $800, were stolen Tuesday from a 1999 Ford Expedition parked on Eutaw Street near Camden Street.

Southern District

Robbery: A woman, 74, was walking with her daughter in the 800 block of Covington St. about 5 p.m. Tuesday when a teen-age male assaulted the mother and stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at nearly $400.

Burglary: Property valued at nearly $13,000 was stolen Monday from a house in the 800 block of S. Hanover St. Items included video games, 200 compact discs, clothing and two guitars.

Baltimore County

Cockeysville Precinct

Carjacking: When a motorist, 23, stopped to talk to two men about 7 p.m. Tuesday in the 2200 block of Old Bosley Road, one of them pulled a handgun and ordered him to drive to nearby Valley Lake Place, where they robbed him of $30 and his 1978 Oldsmobile Regency with tags GLY 250.

Essex Precinct

Burglary: Gifts and clothing, all valued at $500, were stolen from a shed in the 300 block of Candry Terrace overnight Monday.

School burglary: A compact disc player, videotapes, coins, a bank and a clipboard were stolen from closets in two classrooms at Kenwood High School in the 500 block of Stemmers Run Road during the weekend.

Robbery: Four teen-age males assaulted a man, 19, in the 1600 block of Doolittle Road about 7 p.m. Tuesday and robbed him of more than $150.

Victim's car found: The missing Chevrolet Cavalier rented by killing victim Barbara J. Manns, 55, was found Monday in the 2700 block of Winchester St. in West Baltimore. Manns' body was found Nov. 10 in her home in the 7100 block of Fairbrook Road in Woodlawn.
