Johnson, Avery promoted at Tristate Electrical

Tristate Electrical & Electronics Supply Co. appointed Robert E. Johnson Sr. vice president, strategic planning and business development, and Ken Avery vice president, Baltimore region.

Johnson, who has been with the Hagerstown-based sales and distributing company since 1957, oversees cost analysis, customer service and business recommendations, and integrated supply/commodity programs. Avery, who joined the company in 1997, has responsibility for increasing its market share in the metropolitan area.

Dean is vice president, operations, at Thulman

Thulman Eastern, a unit of American Fireplace Co., named Michael Dean vice president of operations for the Annapolis Junction-based fireplace distributor.

The Eldersburg resident is responsible for daily operations of the firm's 13 divisions and service departments. A graduate of Virginia Technical Institute, he formerly was controller of Thulman Eastern.

Leslie Gilden joins Gilden Advertising

Gilden Advertising appointed Leslie Gilden as an account supervisor. Gilden, who is not related to the Roland Park agency's founder, works with ad teams to streamline client technology and design services.

Formerly with Motta & Associates, the Towson resident is a graduate of the University of Montana.

Banking and finance

Glen Burnie Bank promotes Huebler to branch manager

Bank of Glen Burnie promoted Cynthia Huebler to manager of its Severn branch office. She is responsible for servicing commercial and personal accounts, extending credit and supervising branch office personnel. Formerly an assistant manager at the bank's main office, the Severna Park resident is a graduate of the University of Baltimore and the American Institute of Banking, and is active in the Maryland Banking Association.
