Celine Dion plans tell-all autobiography

French-Canadian pop diva Celine Dion is working on a "very intimate" autobiography to be published next year in English and five other languages, her office announced yesterday.

In September, Grammy-winning Dion said she planned to take up to a three-year break from the music business after she sings in a big year-end concert in Montreal.

Dion is to confide to Quebec biographer Georges-Hebert Germain the details of her life in what is expected to be a 250-page book.

"She has practically never known life without stress and pressure. Now to fill her new life, she is full of dreams and projects," her office said in a statement.

Brandy hospitalized

Brandy, the Grammy-winning singer and star of the UPN sitcom "Moesha," has been hospitalized for dehydration, a publicist said yesterday.

Brandy, 20, entered an unidentified Southern California hospital for treatment Thursday and was expected to be released over the weekend, said Marcy DeVeaux, a spokeswoman for Big Ticket Television, which produces "Moesha." DeVeaux said she didn't know what caused Brandy's condition.

Brandy shared a Grammy Award in February with Monica for their R&B duet "The Boy is Mine."

Stiller, Taylor betrothed

Comic actor Ben Stiller has become engaged to actress Christine Taylor.

Stiller, who played the geeky guy who got the girl in the ribald comedy "There's Something About Mary," proposed to Taylor, who played Marcia in movie versions of television's camp classic "The Brady Bunch," last weekend, her managers said Wednesday. No wedding date has been set.

Stiller, the 34-year-old son of comics Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara, met Taylor, 28, last April on the set of a show Stiller is developing for Fox.

Something to talk about

Singer Bonnie Raitt and her husband, actor Michael O'Keefe, plan to divorce, her music label announced this week.

The terse statement from Capitol Records gave no reasons for the breakup of Raitt, 50, and O'Keefe, 44. The couple wed in April 1991.

O'Keefe, a former "Roseanne" co-star, is now appearing in the "Side Man" at Washington's Kennedy Center.

Raitt's 1989 album, "Nick of Time," sold more than 14 million copies and earned eight Grammy awards.
