Maryland State Police in Westminster are investigating a two-car crash Saturday in Mount Airy that killed two Carroll County men.

Clark Morgan Creamer, 33, of the 200 block of Janice Way in Westminster was pronounced dead at the scene on Route 27 north of Cabbage Spring Road soon after the collision at 12: 30 a.m., state police said.

Chad Stevens Ruth, 21, of the 3700 block of Akers Drive in Mount Airy was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where he died Saturday, state police said.

According to investigators, Creamer was traveling north on Route 27 in a 1987 Oldsmobile when a southbound 1995 Chevrolet driven by Katie Carroll Upman, 18, of the 6500 block of Tydings Road in Eldersburg, crossed the center line and struck the Oldsmobile.

Upman was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital, where she was treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Ruth was a passenger in the Chevrolet, state police said.
