Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southeastern District

Shooting: A man, 24, was shot in the left leg 11: 35 p.m. Friday in the 2800 block of E. Fayette St. He was treated at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

Southern District

Assault: A man, 23, was in the 900 block of Renick Court about 7 p.m. Saturday when a man asked him for a cigarette, then pulled a short sword and cut him on the left hand. He was treated at University of Maryland Medical Center.

Theft from vehicle: A cellular phone, leather jacket and a checkbook, all valued at more than $200, were stolen from a 1992 Dodge sedan parked Saturday in the 600 block of Light St.

Theft: Compact discs valued at more than $500 were stolen Saturday from a 1999 Mazda Protege parked in the 700 block of S. Charles St.

Northern District

Burglary: Three guitars, a computer, stereo equipment, a compact disc player, cash and an electric organizer, all valued at nearly $3,000, were stolen Saturday from a house in the 400 block of Evesham Ave.

Burglary: Two power leaf blowers and other property, all valued at nearly $1,400, were stolen Saturday from a garage in the 5200 block of Tilbury Way.

Baltimore County

Parkville Precinct

Theft: Police were seeking four men who stole health products, baby formula and other items, all valued at more than $1,000, from the Valu Food supermarket in the 7600 block of Belair Road on Saturday.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: A man, 42, was in the 8500 block of Loch Raven Blvd. about 1: 40 a.m. Saturday when he was stopped by two men who demanded his money and cigarettes. When the victim hesitated, one of the men struck him in the face and robbed him of a pack of cigarettes. The victim suffered an eye injury but refused medical treatment.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary/arrest: A man, 19, is accused of breaking into a vacant house in the 3800 block of Kilburn Road on Friday evening and smoking marijuana when police arrested him. The man, who lived on the same street, was charged with burglary and possession of marijuana.

Burglary: Jewelry and a decorative egg containing coins, all valued at nearly $11,000, were stolen Friday from the bedroom of a house in the 21000 block of York Road in Parkton.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: At least $40 was stolen from an apartment bedroom in the 100 block of Carraway Road in Reisterstown on Saturday.
