Horse kicks woman in the face, causing critical injuries

A 34-year-old woman was critically injured yesterday when she was kicked in the face by a horse.

Susie Grissom fell off the horse in the 14000 block of Burntwoods Road near Glenelg High School about 2: 30 p.m. The horse kicked her, causing severe facial injuries, a fire department spokesman said.

Grissom was flown by state police helicopter to Maryland Shock Trauma Center. She was in critical condition last night.
