A 33-year-old Westminster man was killed and two other people were injured early yesterday in a head-on collision on Route 27 north of Cabbage Spring Road in Mount Airy, Maryland State Police said.

Clark Morgan Creamer of the 200 block of Janice Way, Westminster, was driving a 1987 Oldsmobile north on Route 27 about 12: 30 a.m. when his car was struck by a 1995 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Katie Carroll Upman, 18, of the 6500 block of Tydings Road, Eldersburg. Police said Upman's car crossed the center line.

Creamer was pronounced dead at the scene. Upman was treated at Frederick Memorial Hospital and released. A passenger in her car, Chad Stevens Ruth, 21, of the 3700 block of Akers Drive, Mount Airy, was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. He was in critical condition last night, a spokeswoman said.
