Seven people injured, four seriously, in two-vehicle collision in Pasadena

October 31, 1999

Four people, including two children, were seriously injured and three other people suffered minor injuries in a collision yesterday in Pasadena.

The accident occurred at Bodkin Avenue and Mountain Road. The driver of a Ford pickup traveling west on Mountain Road swerved into the eastbound lanes to avoid hitting a turning vehicle, Anne Arundel County police said.

The pickup struck a Plymouth minivan traveling east.

Officer Marc Gelven said the driver of the minivan was transported to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. Two children in the van, ages 7 and 10, were flown to Johns Hopkins Hospital.

The passenger riding in the center seat of the pickup also was transported to Shock Trauma.

The driver and the other passenger of the pickup, and the fourth person in the minivan, were taken to North Arundel Hospital with minor injuries.
