Poly tops Patterson, clinches city title

Antoine Bondema scored twice to power Poly past visiting Patterson, 5-1, and help clinch the Baltimore City boys soccer championship yesterday.

Patterson defeated Poly in last year's title game.

The unbeaten Engineers struck early and often, netting two goals in the first half and three in the second off 17 shots.

Single-goal efforts by Cory Cascio, Josh Kraft and Matt Wood helped the Engineers' cause.

Poly's goalie Eric Roberts stopped 12 of 13 shots.

Patterson defeated Poly in last year's title game.
