Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Eastern District

Burglary/shooting/arrest: During a burglary Tuesday afternoon at a house in the 2300 block of Ashland Ave., the 60-year-old female occupant shot a woman, 34, in the left arm. The intruder, who had entered through the back door, grabbed the handgun and fled. She was arrested a few blocks away, taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment and released. The gun was not recovered. Wanda Johnson of the 800 block of N. Broadway was charged with burglary and assault and processed at the Central Booking and Intake Center. No charges were placed against the occupant.

Southwestern District

Shooting: A man, 31, was at Christian and Pulaski streets about 6: 15 p.m. Tuesday when another man shot him in the chest. The victim staggered four blocks west to his home in the 500 block of S. Smallwood St. and was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center and admitted in serious condition.

Southern District

Carjacking: A man, 31, was hacking Tuesday in the 3500 block of Round Road when a male passenger known to him as "Bones" pulled a handgun. During a struggle, the gun went off, shattering a window of the 1996 Chevrolet Blazer. The hacker fled, and "Bones" drove away in the vehicle, which has tags M276521.

Baltimore County

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Two men posing as Baltimore Department of Public Works employees entered a house in the 100 block of Brandon Road Tuesday and told the occupant, 81, they were there to check the water pressure. While the occupant and one of the men were in the basement, the second man stole an antique coin collection, valued at $3,000, from a bedroom.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: Tools valued at more than $6,000 were stolen Tuesday from D & D Restorations in the 7600 block of Lillian Holt Drive. The thief entered through a door.

North Point Precinct

Vandalism: Someone spray-painted a 1995 Mitsubishi Mirage parked in the 8100 block of Mid Haven Road Tuesday, causing $1,000 damage.
