North Carroll appoints Ford softball coach

October 26, 1999|By FROM STAFF REPORTS

Lloyd Ford has been named softball coach at North Carroll, a school official announced yesterday.

Athletic Director Bill Rumbaugh said Ford, the school's junior varsity softball coach for several years, replaces Rich Harvey, who has taken a teaching position at a high school in southern Pennsylvania.

"This was one of those cases where we had someone in the building who wanted the job and was qualified to do it," Rumbaugh said. "It was an easy choice."

Ford, who teaches social studies, is also the school's volleyball coach.
