"I strongly believe people in a higher grade like fourth and fifth grade should read `Little House in the Big Woods' by Laura Ingalls Wilder, because it has very hard words and the people who are reading won't understand them. Also it's very hard to understand what they did in the olden days."

"I am writing to inform you about my favorite book that is written by Dr. Seuss. My favorite book is `The Foot Book' because it talks about big and small feet."

"My favorite story is `Hank the Cowdog' by John R. Erickson because it is funny. My favorite part of the story is when one of the dogs asked another dog, `What would you do if I peed on your tires?' He said, `What?' And he said again, `What would you do if I peed on your tire?' `I'd rip you in half and tear you in shreds.' Then he said, `How can you when you are on a chain?' `I'd break it.' Then Drover hiked up his leg and let `er rip on the tire."
