A 14-year-old boy was seriously injured last night during a youth league football game played at Loch Haven Park in Mayo, an Anne Arundel Fire Department spokesman said.

Lt. Robert Rose said the boy, whose name was not released, was tackled from behind by another player.

The boy, complaining of tingling arms and fingers, was flown by state police MedEvac helicopter to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was being treated for possible neck injuries, Rose said.
