City police yesterday were looking for a suspect and motive in the shooting death late Friday of a 40-year-old man as he sat in his vehicle in the 4500 block of Homer Ave. in Northwest Baltimore.

Police said Larry Dabney, of the 2300 block of Roslyn Ave., was found slumped in the seat of his white Chevrolet Blazer about 11: 30 p.m. He was taken to Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police officers patrolling nearby heard shots fired and sped to the scene, but the assailant had fled, police said. Further details were not available yesterday.
