An article in yesterday's editions of The Sun about a Highlandtown plant fined for storing hazardous waste incorrectly said that the company was fined by the state attorney general's office for allowing hazardous chemicals to leak into nearby sanitary sewer lines.

August John Naumann Jr., 57, of the 8600 block of Goldenwood Road, pleaded guilty on behalf of his company, A-1 Plating Co., to one count of discharging contaminated wastewater into a sanitary sewer and one count of unlawfully storing cyanide sludge waste. A Baltimore circuit judge fined A-1 Plating $125,000 for both offenses, then suspended all but $50,000. The company is on three years' probation.

The Sun regrets the error.
