Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore city and county.

Baltimore City

Eastern District

Shootings: Two gunmen approached a man sitting on the steps of a rowhouse in the 1800 block of Guilford Ave. about 3 p.m. Saturday and fired several shots, hitting him in both legs and arms. A woman standing on the steps of her house in the 1700 block of Guilford Ave. was struck in the right leg by a stray bullet. Both victims were taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where the man was in serious condition yesterday and the woman was treated and released. No arrests had been made.

Shooting: A man, 39, of the 2400 block of Barclay St. was drinking beer with two other men in the 2400 block of Greenmount Ave. about 1 a.m. yesterday when he asked for a second beer and was refused. He persisted, and one of the men pulled out a handgun and shot him in the right forearm. The victim was treated at Union Memorial Hospital. No arrest had been made.

Shooting: A man shot another man several times in the upper and lower body in the 1400 block of Ensor St. about 9 p.m. Saturday. The victim was in critical condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Shootings: Two men, ages 21 and 19, were in the 400 block of Aisquith St. about 12: 10 a.m. Saturday when they were shot in the upper body by two gunmen. They were in good condition yesterday at Johns Hopkins Hospital. No arrests had been made.

Southern District

Shooting: A man shot another man, 21, in the back and left jaw about 2: 40 a.m. yesterday in the 2400 block of Maisel St. in Morrell Park. The victim, a resident of the 1000 block of W. Lexington St. in West Baltimore, was in critical condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Assault: A man, 22, was in the 3600 block of S. Hanover St. Saturday when another man struck him several times with an ax handle. The victim was in stable condition yesterday at Harbor Hospital Center.

Theft: While an employee of the Silver Spoon Restaurant in the 1700 block of Washington Blvd. was waiting on a customer about 10 p.m. Saturday, a man reached over the counter, opened the cash register and removed nearly $90.

Burglary: A rug valued at $100 was stolen Saturday from a house in the 1500 block of S. Charles St.

Theft from vehicle: Clothing valued at $1,000 was stolen yesterday from a 1998 Chevrolet truck parked in the 1900 block of Russell St. Power tools valued at $400 were stolen from the victim's shed.

Southeastern District

Theft: A man was standing at a bus stop in the first block of N. Highland Ave. Friday when a man in his early 20s robbed him of $50 worth of Elvis Presley commemorative U.S. Postal Service stamps and two Elvis Presley dinner plates, valued at $80.

Southwestern District

Carjacking: Two male teens robbed a woman, 37, of her car keys about 1 p.m. Saturday in the 3400 block of Wilkens Ave. and drove off in her 1985 Buick Century with tags GNY 996.

Burglary/arrest: Responding to a burglary in progress in the 2900 block of Walbrook Ave. Saturday, Officer Joy Pegus arrested a man who had entered the house and stolen a lawn mower, a grinder and a large quantity of trash bags. The property was recovered. Herbert Drumwright, 41, of the 2300 block of Koko Lane was charged with burglary.

Burglary: A cordless drill and cash, all valued at nearly $140, were stolen Saturday from a house in the 2600 block of Maempel Lane.

Stolen vehicle: A gold-colored four-door 1995 Nissan Altima with tags DEJ 977 was stolen in the 5100 block of Greenwich Road between Sept. 29 and Friday.

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed a man, 44, of nearly $40 about 7 p.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of N. Augusta Ave.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary/vandalism: Between Thursday and Saturday, someone threw rocks at a house in the 7900 block of 32nd St. and broke its windows. The occupant's bicycle was stolen from in front of the house. The value of the windows and the bicycle was at least $900.

Burglary: Two mountain bicycles valued at more than $600 were stolen Saturday from the second-floor balcony of an apartment in the 7400 block of Goldfield Court.
