A monthlong investigation into possible drug violations at an Annapolis home has ended in the arrests of an Annapolis man and a juvenile who lived there, county police said.

Larry Carroll Luck, 49, of the 1300 block of Washington Drive and the boy, 17, were charged Friday with possession of drugs and drug-related paraphernalia, police said.

Narcotics officers said that police on patrol tipped them off last month to a possible drug problem at the residence. After weeks of gathering information, the narcotics officers raided the house.

Seized were suspected marijuana, a scale and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Driver faces DWI charge after pedestrian is hurt

County police have arrested a 22-year-old Edgewater man on a drunken driving charge in connection with an accident Thursday on Central Avenue in which a 13-year-old pedestrian was struck.

Heather Elizabeth Garza of the 300 block of Lakeview Ave. suffered head and shoulder injuries and was flown to Children's Hospital in Washington. She was released Friday morning.

Todd Travis Crowe, of the 200 block of Maryland Ave., was charged with driving while intoxicated and negligent driving.

County police said Crowe was eastbound on Central Avenue in a 1986 Dodge pickup truck in Beverly Beach just after 9: 30 p.m. Heather was walking in the same direction on the shoulder of the eastbound side, police said.

The truck's right front fender and the passenger side rearview mirror struck the girl, police said. Then the truck swerved off the road and into a ditch, police said. An officer who arrived soon after the incident arrested Crowe after administering field sobriety tests, police said.
