Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southern District

Robbery: A man armed with a knife robbed a man of $33 in the 1600 block of Ridgely St. about 3 p.m. Wednesday. During the robbery, the victim, 50, sustained a 3-inch laceration to a hand and was treated at Harbor Hospital Center. No arrest had been made.

Southwestern District

Stolen car: A red 1991 Plymouth Laser with tags FEN 374 was stolen Tuesday in the 4700 block of Edmondson Ave.

Stolen vehicles: Warrants were to be issued for the arrests of people who rented three vehicles from U-Haul in the 2900 block of Washington Blvd. and failed to return them. The thefts were reported Wednesday.

Robbery: Two women tried to leave a Rite-Aid store at the Westside Shopping Center in the 2400 block of Frederick Ave. on Wednesday without paying for ointment valued at $4.29 and were stopped by a security officer. During a struggle, a security officer suffered an injured hand. The two women escaped after one of them dropped the ointment, which was recovered.

Theft/assault: A security officer at a Giant Food store in the 4600 block of Edmondson Ave. at the Edmondson Village Shopping Center was assaulted Wednesday when he stopped a man trying to leave the store without paying for frozen food valued at nearly $6. Security officer Charles Brown detained Donte Gamble, 24, of the 700 block of Cooks Lane, who was charged with theft, assault and resisting arrest.

Northwestern District

Burglary: Someone broke into Shebrith Israel Congregation in the 5800 block of Park Heights Ave. between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 5 p.m. yesterday and stole a telephone and fax machine, valued at $1,000.

Stolen vehicles: A 1993 Honda Accord with tags DRE 44 was stolen Thursday from the 7200 block of Chalkstone Drive.

Burglary: Someone broke into a house in the 5400 block of Lynview Ave. between 6: 30 a.m. and 1: 20 p.m. yesterday and stole a compact disc player and 150 CDs valued at $307.

Baltimore County

Towson Precinct

Robbery: A man was was riding his bicycle near Virginia and Shealy avenues at 11: 55 p.m. Tuesday when he was approached by an armed man. The robber took the victim's wallet and bicycle.

Burglary: Someone broke into an apartment in the 6600 block of Collinsdale Road between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. Tuesday and stole a watch, compact discs and clothes.
