Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southern District

Theft: A compact disc player, radar detector, 15 compact discs and a wallet, all valued at nearly $900, were stolen Tuesday from a 1989 Chevrolet parked in the 1500 block of Poplin St.

Burglary: A laptop computer, jewelry and cash, all valued at more than $4,000, were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 400 block of E. Cross St. by someone who entered through a rear door.

Southwestern District

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 1000 block of DeSoto Road on Tuesday through a rear door and stole 110 videotapes, $15 in coins, and jewelry, all valued at more than $1,500. Police said three dogs in the house did not deter the intruder.

Stolen car: A 1989 Dodge van with tags 326984M was stolen in the 500 block of E. Lynne Ave. on Tuesday.

Theft: Someone entered the bedroom of a house Tuesday in the 600 block of N. Hilton St. and removed $400 from under a mattress.

Eastern District

Robbery: A Checker Cab Co. driver was using an outside pay phone in the 1200 block of Greenmount Ave. about 12: 10 a.m. Tuesday while his vehicle's keys were in the ignition. A man got in the cab and drove off. Moments later in the 800 block of E. Chase St., police recovered the vehicle. Missing, the cabbie told police, was more than $100 from the front seat.

Robbery: A woman, 28, was in the 1800 block of Harford Ave. about noon Tuesday when a man robbed her of $30 while threatening her with a syringe.

Stolen car: A four-door silver 1987 Chevrolet with tags FPW 206 was stolen in the 1000 block of Fallsway on Tuesday.

Robbery: A gunman robbed a man, 49, of a 35 mm camera valued at $90 in the 3200 block of E. Monument St. about 12: 30 a.m. Tuesday.

Robbery: A boy, 14, was riding his bicycle in the 2700 block of N. Wolfe St. about 9 p.m. Monday when a gunman forced him off the bicycle, valued at more than $100, and rode away.

Northern District

Stolen car: A 1997 Subaru with tags YGJ 226 was stolen in the 2500 block of N. Charles St. on Tuesday.

Robbery: A gunman robbed a man, 59, of his wallet, $14 and a watch in the 2700 block of N. Calvert St. about 2 a.m. Tuesday.

Robbery: A man, 18, was riding his mountain bicycle in the 3000 block of Reese St. about noon Tuesday when two men robbed him of the bicycle, valued at more than $100, and $25.

Baltimore County

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: Jewelry, video games, a compact disc player, videocassette recorder, coins and a Caller ID box were stolen from a house in the 2900 block of E. Joppa Road between July 14 and Aug. 30. The incident was reported Tuesday.

Vandalism: Someone slashed three tires of a 1989 Acura Integra parked in the 4000 block of Marjeff Place on Tuesday, causing more than $200 damage.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: A gunman robbed a man of his wallet and an undisclosed sum of money at East Joppa Road and Fairmount Avenue about midnight Tuesday.
